much needed update (spoiler: still waiting)

Well, I figured it was time for a much-needed update of the goings on over at HdP.

Long story short? A whole lot of nothing... nada... zilch.... bupkis... BUPKIS I say!!! We have not hammered a nail or taken any out for that matter. So, no, nothing has been done.

Kind of kidding, but not really. Actually, lots of stuff has been done on the preparation side. Get a look at this:

She faaaancy, huh? We made a few small changes from the last round. 1. We decided to forgo the dual wall ovens + range top in lieu of just doing a full range (with side-by-side ovens beneath) in order to make that side of the kitchen feel a little less cramped. I was also having nightly worry sessions about someone making a hard turn around that corner and running straight into an open (and hot) oven door. This solves that issue. 2. The current master bonus room thingy (It's like a bedroom within the master bedroom that has a closet) is huge. We divided it up, making an office for Tom off the sitting area and a large walk-in closet for the master. We also changed the wall there in the entrance to the master thereby cutting out the wasted space and giving it to the closet and office. Now let's look at the outside.

Seriously, I wasn't excited about the whole outside landscape/hardscape thing until seeing this. So excited. 

So, while not a whole lot has been actually done, we ARE moving forward. These plans here are getting sent off to the city's planning department asap and hopefully we will hear back from them soon (without a whole lot of changes to be made). Fingers crossed.
